Privacy notice
Eye Express Co. Ltd (“Eye Express”, “we”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it, in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
What we collect
When you send a booking request, we collect your name, phone number, preferred date, chosen branch and service, and anything you choose to tell us in the notes box. Please don’t include detailed medical history in the form. Your optometrist will ask about this privately at your appointment.
Our website host keeps basic technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, to keep the site secure and working. We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking from other companies.
How your request reaches us
When you press “Send booking request”, two things happen. Your details are sent to Eye Express by email through our website host, Netlify, whose servers may be outside Ghana. WhatsApp also opens with your details filled in, and if you choose to send that message, it is handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.
Why we use it
We use your details only to contact you, arrange your appointment and answer your questions. We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Who can see it
Only Eye Express staff who handle appointments and care, and the service providers named above who help us run the website and messaging.
How long we keep it
We keep booking requests only as long as needed to arrange your appointment, and no longer than 12 months. Clinical records created at your visit are kept separately, as required for healthcare.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or WhatsApp us on 0277 429 279, or speak to us at any branch. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
